Automatic car licence

Driving in a car box and aiming for category B licence with ease: 13 minimum practical training lessons instead of 20.

13 minimum lessons

The automatic gearbox, renowned for its simplicity and comfort, allows you to focus more on the road without worrying about changes in speed. This is particularly advantageous for beginners, and in cities where traffic jams are frequent.

The vehicle licence with automatic transmission is not restricted to persons with reduced mobility: it is above all a source of comfort. No clutch pedals, the speeds go by themselves!

13 leçons minimum au lieu de 20

  • Since the decree of 14 October 2016, the minimum volume of practical training has been reduced for training limited to automatic transmission vehicles: 13 lessons* instead of 20.
  • This applies to classical learning, accompanied driving and supervised driving.
  • Category B licence obtained on automatic transmission bears the restrictive code 78.
  • Already registered in a manual gearbox? Your file needs no change: just take the exam on a vehicle with an automatic transmission.

Lift the "auto box" restriction

A 7-hour training then allows you to drive a manual gearbox without delay after obtaining the licence. Note: valid only for licences passed in automatic gearbox by personal choice, not for medical reasons.

What about the manual gearbox?

The mastery of a manual gearbox provides a better understanding of the vehicle's mechanisms and greater control of driving, useful in various conditions.
