Conduct of the practical examination

The practical test lasts about 32 minutes. The inspector evaluates your ability to drive alone, safely, by establishing a balance of skills.

Bilan des compétences de l’examen pratique : niveaux d’appréciation de E à 3, autonomie et conscience du risque, points bonus courtoisie et écoconduite ; minimum 20 points sur 31

Examination certificate

Upon completion of the test, the inspector shall complete the certificate of examination of the driving licence. It takes stock of your skills (knowing and controlling the vehicle, understanding the road, sharing the road with other users) and your autonomy. The result is available online, normally 48 hours after the examination.

Information provision

Watching far ahead, using peripheral vision, regularly checking mirrors and checking blind spots before every change of direction: information take is at the heart of the evaluation.

Respect for security spaces

Keep at least 2 seconds with the vehicle that precedes you: choose a marker, and count the time between its passage and yours. Lateral distances with pedestrians, cyclists and parking vehicles also count.

Bonus points

Two additional points can be added to the total: courtesy to other users (+1) and economical and environmentally friendly driving (+1). Manoeuvres (scenery, ear, battle) are part of the required exercises.
